WOOSTER, OH to MEMPHIS, TN: 800 miles (686 loaded + 114 deadhead).
Saturday August 1st, I started my day at 10:00am with the pre-trip inspection of the truck and I drove two hours to the shipper arriving at 12:30pm. The main office was in one place and the holding pen in another reachable through narrow country roads. This trip should be around fourteen hours driving. Since the delivery was scheduled for Monday noonish I was in no hurry. I drove six-and-half hours shutting it down at 9:00pm. I encountered heavy traffic at one point which is expected and drove through Cincinnati passing by the Big Red Machine’s MLB Stadium. The truck stop I picked had a pub next door and I expected to have a good meal, but I had no such luck.
Sunday August 2nd, I started my day at 10:00am with the pre-trip inspection of the truck and drove four hours to the Pilot in Hurricane Mills, TN, passing Nashville on the way. There’s a good restaurant, The Log Cabin, across the street and I had dinner there after fueling the truck. The food is great and the desserts exceptional. Getting closer to Memphis it becomes more difficult to park and parking in Memphis is dangerous due to the amount of thefts to the trailers.
Monday August 3rd, I started my day at 10:00am with the pre-trip inspection of the truck and drove two-and-half hours to the consignee where I arrived at 12:30pm.

An amusing psychological thriller that is both suspenseful and funny.
Jodie dreams of becoming a housewife. She loves to bake and clean. The story has some mouthwatering recipes and the narrative is lighthearted at times. Jodie’s dream comes true when she marries a famous psychologist, Dr. Roy Davies, that recently became widow. She moves into his Beverly Hills home but things are not what they appear to be. Jodie is a spitting image of his late-wife and his friends wonder why the rush to marry again. Jodie wonders that herself. Did Roy kill his first wife? What secrets from her past does Jodie have? There’s a secondary cast of characters that add suspense to the subplots.
Very entertaining.
