FLINT, MI to CHARLOTTE, NC: 776 miles + Detention for breakdown (676 loaded + 100 deadhead +$300)
Thursday July 16th, my truck went into the shop for its 20,000 miles Preventive Maintenance checkup. I sat idle for a day at our terminal in Canton, MI, until the part that needed to be replaced arrived. I got paid a day’s work wages of $300.
Friday July 17th, I drove to Flint, MI, to pick up this load. The delivery was scheduled for Monday so I basically drove to the shipper from our terminal and came back as I would head out only on Sunday.
Saturday July 18th, I went grocery shopping at Walmart and had lunch at a Mexican restaurant next door. The rest I worked on my book.
Sunday July 19th, I left the terminal at 3:00pm after fueling the truck and drove eight hours with a break for dinner. I shut it down for the night at midnight. Our terminal is near the Detroit airport and on this drive I caught a glimpse of a plane landing.
Monday July 20th, I started my day at 10:00am after the minimum ten-hour DOT Regulation Break with the pre-trip inspection of the truck. I drove two-and-half hours which goes by some pretty lakes with private marinas for residents to the consignee and arrived at 1:00pm.

No visitors, no posting photos on social media, no interaction with other residents and most importantly she has to spend every night there. Her friend is hesitant and implores Jules not to take the job.
Jules meets the other two apartment sitters and then starts discovering the dark secrets of this exclusive building, The Bartholomew. She becomes scared about her safety. Suddenly, all the cash that was going to get her life back on track is no longer important but is it too late?
Very entertaining with some unique twists-and-turns.
