I had my semiannual checkup appointment on Monday 01/12 with my endocrinologist. The assignment to accomplish this got me to my home base at the Pilot in Milford, CT on Friday around noon. I killed time at the truck stop on Friday. Saturday morning I picked up a rental car and checked into a hotel for two nights in Stamford, CT. Later I did laundry and watched the Bears-Packers game at The Blind Rhino, a sports bar in Milford, CT.
Sunday I spent most of the day at the hotel watching football and getting things done on the internet. Afterwards I had dinner with my eldest at Kira Sushi in Greenwich, CT. Monday I checked out of the hotel, ran some errands and then went to my doctor’s appointment which included lab work. Afterwards I drove into New York City to have dinner with my two other daughters at Ruby’s Cafe in Kips Bay.
Tuesday 01/13 I’ll return the car rental first thing then wait for my next assignment.
It was nice to spend time with the kids, take care of personal stuff and enjoy some good food.
