I didn’t need a reset as I had 35 hours left on my 70 clock, but my last assignment ended Friday morning and I was not going to get anything to deliver on Saturday when the weekly cycle ends.
My next assignment was to pickup a shipment in Romulus, MI that delivered to Memphis on Monday morning. It’s 726 miles that only requires a day-and-a-half of travel. I could make it to Nashville and spend a leisurely day there, which I love but I had errands to run and our terminal is only 15 miles away so I chose to do a reset.
On Friday I picked up the shipping and after parking the truck at the terminal I went for some me-time. I got a mani-pedi, had a dinner at a Mexican restaurant nearby. Went grocery shopping at Walmart and did my laundry. Started Saturday with a shower, long overdue, then a trip to the Post Office, Home Depot and lunch at Panera while I worked on this blog and other things related to my memoir.
